Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I not getting the data I expected?

This is most likely due to entering the wrong date or dates and not letting the system handle the date format. The correct format is dd/mm/yyyy.

* Important Note - In order for the system to process this date, you must hit the tab key to switch off of the date field before hitting "enter" so that the application will enter the correct date format.

Why can't I access the file?

This system does not let you have multiple instances open at one time to ensure data integrity. Make sure that you are not in the same system more than once. To do this, check your task bar (next to the start button on the bottom of the screen) and make sure that you see only one instance of the software open at one time. If you see duplicates, close all but one. If someone else has the same record open it will not be accessible and data can't be input. Make sure that no one else is posting in the same program when you are trying to print a report.

Why are there multiple entries for data?

This is most likely due to multiple workstations entering data into the same record at the same time. Make sure that you have not opened multiple instances of the same record or that the record is in use by another user.

Why won't my data print?

6The printer may already by in use, not have paper, or is not on-line. Check the status of your printer before you send a print job. Make sure the correct paper is installed and that no one else is trying to print at the same time.

What do I do to prevent data loss?

BBI, inc. recommends that you back up your data daily. If your system has not been automated to run the backup nightly we encourage you to remember to activate you backup every day. We can help you to restore your data when you have current backups, otherwise we cannot promise that your data is safe.

What should I do if I need to call for support?

Before calling for support, make sure and write-down any error messages that you encountered and have them available when you talk to our staff. When you call BBI, have as much information available as to what you were trying to print, post, and what program you are in. The more information we have at first, the easier it will be to fix the problem..

* Important Note - BBI, inc. now provides On-Line Documents (located under the User Guides link in the right hand column) for most of our applications. These Documents cover the essentials for each application. To save you some time, check out the document provided as it may be the most expedient manner to get the answers to your questions.
